In most Windows systems, the Remote Desktop Connection is run by selecting “Start”, “Programs”, “Accessories”, “Communications”, and then “Remote Desktop Connection”. However, the Remote Desktop Connection choice is not there, whether by system settings or the preferences of the prior computer user. How do a user invoke remote desktop connection if there is no icon for it on my PC? Select the "Start" button on the computer. Select "Run". Then enter the command mstsc.exe Upon clicking “enter”, the remote desktop connection should start in a new window. Enter the computer host name or IP address of the computer to be accessed and the remote desktop connection will start.
