Grandmothers are Magic by Lois Carl Truax This is a very small booklet about grandmothers. The rhymes aren’t bad and the photos are very cute. It is a book that could be read to a small child just before bed. On Amazon, the price is $5.95. Personally, I would look for another book that would have more reading time for that cost but if you a From Reading | | 1 | 618 | 8/27/2010 1:07 PM · 8/23/2010 2:29 PM |
Nonna's Book of Mysteries by Mary Osborne When I picked up this book, I thought it would be a murder mystery. Boy, was I surprised to find out that it was about painters in the 15 th century. Even though it wasn’t what I thought it would be about, it was an excellent book. The information about how paintings were created in the 15 th centur From Reading | | 1 | 1639 | 7/22/2010 9:36 AM · 6/21/2010 1:16 PM |

Mind Your Own Wellness by Alex Ong There are many weight loss books available to us today. This one with its “Belt” plan is one of the easiest I have seen. After reading the whole book, I would say the last 10 pages are the most important. The first 160+ pages are to get you motivated. The Sculptor by Gregory Funaro This book is about a weird type of evil. It isn’t gory with lots of blood and guts but it does describe a type of evil that is unique. The descriptions are so vivid that you can picture exactly what the author is writing about. The book isn’t all about this evil. There is a wonderful romance story a From Reading | | 1 | 2651 | 9/2/2010 3:30 PM · 3/12/2010 1:35 PM |
THE FIND by James J Valko Megan Eastwood is an archeologist and Bruce Brackin is a photographer. What do they have in common? The Grand Canyon. Megan is on a dig in the Grand Canyon for Egyptian artifacts and Bruce is sent to cover the dig as a freelance photographer for a large magazine. Sounds normal, doesn’t it? JUST WAITING FOR THE BELL by David Wehmeyer I expected this to be about all the funny happenings in the career of a teacher. About two-thirds of the book was more about the daily happenings, not necessarily funny, of school life. The funny antidotes I really enjoyed were about the animal yard, the school motto and the family of the year. The From Reading | | 1 | 3632 | 4/16/2010 9:30 PM · 1/11/2010 10:27 AM |

BLOOD REVENGE by David Thor This book held my attention until the very last word. I hated to put it down and found myself reading far into the night. BLOOD REVENGE is a timely story about biological warfare. Beginning when the key players were young children and running through their early adulthood, it shows how events that h From Reading | | 1 | 3832 | 8/8/2010 3:22 AM · 11/14/2009 10:04 AM |
